Birthday-a-go-go
Ba-jeezum! I did a ton of birthday baking from mid-June ’til now. From the Severed Unicorn Head Superstore birthday cuppers (post below) to all the human birthdays, I may as well have climbed into the oven myself, just like Hansel and Gretel. Luckily, for all involved, I kept my oven playtime to me staying on the outside.
“Thin Mint” Cookies
Sugar-Crusted Shortbread Cookies
Lime-Coconut Cupcakes

Tiramisu Cupcakes
Thanks to the cookie testing I’m doing, I had some pretty gourmet-looking cookies to give away. Cookie tray worthy. I had some damn tasty cupcakes in there, too. The Tiramisu cuppers ended up kind of ugly, but boy, did they taste like a little bit of paradise. Too bad I have to help eat some of those. You know, before they “go”.

Wow! I’m intimidated by how professional those scrolls look on the thin mints. Mine would probably just have tongue impressions on them.
Are the lime slices candied? Those cupcakes look like little fluffy dreams.

The limes are leftovers from my zesting, not candied. I’ll tell you I ate lots of lime-buttercream frosting that day! Oh, and pre-lime decor, they looked just like snowballs.

Day-um, girl. You’re a baking fiend. You oughta start a vegan bakery, but not tell anyone it’s vegan. I bet you could fool meat-eaters like me with these goodies.

Wow! Thanks! Most of my coworkers appreciate when I bring in the goods. They can’t tell the difference. I even had one tell me that one of my cupcakes was the best cupcake she had ever had. Pretty cool.
